Saturday January 13th 2007 is nearing for the first LAN of 2007 and we are gearing up for it with a few big sponsors, full GBe network, Massive iNet connection (Dual cable modems) and a number of servers online including Prey, FEAR (DM and CTF) BF42 and BFV to name a few. Also we have been getting together to play alittle Ranked BF2, meeting up on xFire wednesday nights. Check the forums for more details. Hope to see you all at the LAN. Later!

WNY Gamers Club is happy to present our 6th installment of the LAN Party Extravaganza (LPE VI) at the:

on Saturday January 13th Starting @ noon and going on for a full 12 hours of fragging fun!

Due to the severe weather conditions of this past weekend WNY Gamers Club's LPE V had to be canceled. Rescheduled for November 25th, more information coming soon.

With only one more week before the LAN it looks like we will be kicking it off with 2, 3 or more FEAR servers up at 16 players each (CTF and DM) then moving on to the BF2142 Demo, which will be available for install the day of the LAN. Check the forums for a full list of possible games to be played and to voice your opinions on what should be played.

Next LAN this coming weekend, September 9th @ Bob's House. Quake 4 and F.E.A.R servers have been up and running for awhile. Also LPE V LAN is coming in October on the 14th. Signup is open!

The LAN in July despite it's set backs was a success, even with moving it to the normal spot we had a decent number that showed up, with even a couple out of state’ers, Thanks Maggie for the support.

Well with all that said the LPE V date has been moved to October 14th 2006 at Milton J. Brounshidle VFW Post 205, 3354 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY 14217 kicking off at noon and going on for a full 12+ hours of fragging fun! Registration is now up, the hall is already booked so hope to see every one there.

Happy July 4th 2006, Hope everyones holiday is going better then ours. With just days to go before the big LAN we got hit with some really bad news. Due to conditions with the venue's owners and a move that they are going through this event has been canceled. Only info we have at this time is that they were hoping to be moved to thier new location by July 1st and that did not happen. We are not happy about the cancellation, but once the hall's owners are moved we may look into working on another event with them. Please feel free to check the forum thread for more info and to post questions and comments.

After looking into serveral other alternatives with no luck, we have receded back to our normal smaller monthly for LAN format, which will be taking place at Bob's place.

Also We are still set on the normal hall for the next LPE event @ the Milton J. Brounshidle VFW Post 205 on October 14th 2006 from noon to midnight and look forward to seeing everone there. Signup to be opened soon. Hope to see you all there.

Big thanks go out to everyone who came out for the April 8th 2006, LAN Party Extravaganza IV was a big success.

WNY Gamers Club is now happy to bring you the 5th installment of our LAN Party Extravaganza V, this event is open to the public and will be held at the Summit Park Mall in Niagara Falls, NY on July 8th through 9th, this will be 24+ hours of fragging fun starting at noon on Saturday. April's LAN went off well, with only minor issues of what was to be played right in the beginning. Once we got everyone on the same page though, F.E.A.R won over all others. Next came some CSS, BF2 and UT2k4 for the partaking. With all that though done we are all looking forward to May 20th, 2006 as being the next frag fest. Quake4 1.2 patch was just released so expect a nice session and BF2 is always a starting favorite, other then that we would like you to voice you opinions on the forums. Also, the next LPE is in the works, we know where and when with only the how needing any worry. Expect to see in the next few weeks an official announcement with sign up available and make sure to keep your calendar free for July 8th - the 9th.

The DNS changes are done, if you are reading this the site is back up fully and the Forums have be moved over to the new server, Phase 1 and 2 are completed. Be a few months before we upgrade to the latest and greatest that Invision has to offer, but until then enjoy the new found speed of the site in general. The LAN on February 11th went of pretty well, a few new faces and with BF2, Quake 4 and Enemy Territory topping the list of games for the night. Next LAN March 11th, keep that date open and mark your calendars. Remember to head over to the LAN Party Extravaganza IV website and sign up for LAN on April 8th, 2006.

Six Years of Gaming

We're still growing!

As of January 3rd, 2006, we have 123 members, Over 8400 posts and we've had several LAN parties! The most popular games for October, November and December LANs were Unreal Tournament 2004, Half Life 2, F.E.A.R, Serious Sam 2, Call of Duty 2, Empire Earth 2, Need for Speed:Most Wanted and Battle Field 2:Special Forces.

What the Future Holds

Currently growing and have establish a semi-permanent place for "Fragging", B.Ob's basement (Seats 25+ with lots of space to move about, 35+ if we had tables and chairs) and as more people want in, we want to accommodate everybody we possibly can. We don't want to say NO! We have now also settled on a date, the 2nd Saturday of EVERY MONTH, so leave this day of the month open and be ready to frag. We welcome all to attend these are not private events, specially are larger events currently being held at the Milton J. Brounshidle VFW Post 205, Lower Banquet Hall in Kenmore, NY (Seats 75+ with lots of space to move about), shooting for every 3rd month in 2006.

We've been meeting quite a few gamers in the area and one of the questions we've been asked is "Are we clan only?" Heck no! We are open to the public as stated above. We are here to have fun!
